How to set up LayerSeven TV on Windows
A Windows PC gives you the largest screen and the most reliable playback of anything here, simply because it has the power to decode 4K without dropping frames. Installation is an ordinary desktop install with one wrinkle worth knowing in advance: SmartScreen will warn you about the file, because the installer is not downloaded often enough for Microsoft to have built a reputation for it. Windows 10 and 11 are both supported.

- About 200 MB of free disk space
Step-by-Step Setup
Windows Installation
Download LayerSeven TV Player
Go to our Downloads page and take the Windows installer. If you already use VLC or IPTV Smarters Pro on this machine, either will play your subscription and you can skip to the login step — though you will need the server URL as well as your username and password.
Install the Application
Run the downloaded file. SmartScreen will probably show a blue "Windows protected your PC" panel — click "More info", then "Run anyway". This appears for any installer without an expensive code-signing reputation and is not a sign of anything wrong with the file. Then follow the wizard: Next, accept the terms, Install.
Login with Your Credentials
With LayerSeven TV, type the username and password from your subscription email and click Login. With another player, choose "Xtream Codes API" and enter the server URL, username and password, or use the M3U link. Copy and paste rather than typing — one wrong character in a long server address is the most common reason a first login fails.
Enable Hardware Acceleration
In the player settings, turn on hardware decoding — sometimes listed as DXVA or GPU decoding. It moves the work from the processor to the graphics card, which on a laptop is the difference between a quiet machine and a loud one, and on an older PC the difference between smooth 4K and a slideshow.
Enjoy on Your PC
Your channels, guide, films and series are all loaded. To put it on the television, connect over HDMI or use Windows Cast — press Windows+K and pick your TV. Full-screen playback is F, or a double-click, in most players.

Common problems
Fixes specific to Windows
SmartScreen refuses to run the installer
Click "More info" and then "Run anyway". If that button is missing the download is probably incomplete — fetch it again and check the file size against the Downloads page before running it.
Video stutters even though the connection is fast
Hardware decoding is off, or the player has fallen back to software. Turn on DXVA or GPU decoding in the player settings and update your graphics driver — an out-of-date driver is a common cause of dropped frames on 4K.
The app will not connect but the website works
A firewall or VPN is blocking the player. Allow the app through Windows Defender Firewall — Settings > Privacy & security > Windows Security > Firewall & network protection > Allow an app — and if you run a VPN, test with it off to see which is responsible.
